Q When did Kosmos start?
A 2003 was the first year for Kosmos. There were roughly 100 people at camp the first year and attendance has grown every year since. We outgrew our first facility and have moved to a larger home but, to guarantee your space, we encourage campers to reserve their space for this year's early (and save some $$$s with the early registration discount while you're at it!).

Q What's the weather like at Camp Cazadero?
A Summer days can get warm (in the 80s), but evenings can really cool down, so bring clothing to layer. And don't forget your swimsuit... It's always nice at the creek and alongside the pool! Click here for the latest weather at Kosmos.

Q Will I fit in with the people at Kosmos?
A Absolutely! Kosmos prides itself on welcoming the broadest diversity of campers. Every age, color, culture, and lifestyle comes to Kosmos and everyone is like family.

Q How many dance and/or music instructors are there?
A We average some 15 professional dance instructors and over 10 professional music instructors at the camp each year.

Q Do I have to be a really good dancer or musician to enjoy the classes?
A Absolutely not! Kosmos classes have something for everyone. Our professional teaching staff ensures that more experienced artists will be challenged but even first timers will be able to jump in and have a great time learning the fundamentals. It's a common sight at Kosmos to see musicians taking their first ever dance class and likewise to see an ensemble class with dancers picking up their first instrument. It's all about progressing as artists.

Q I don't have the money... Are there scholarships?
A A limited number of scholarships are available to folks willing to commit to helping us operate the camp. These best suit focused workers with kitchen experience, who enjoy collaborating in a serious restaurant atmosphere with a professional chef. The chef will best accommodate your schedule so you can take the classes you want.
You must arrive by 4:00 pm on Wednesday and attend the Wednesday 10:00 pm staff meeting.

Full Scholarship includes full tuition, with your choice of camping or tent/cabin, but requires a total of up to 28 hours during the five days.

Half Scholarship includes half tuition ($200), with your choice of camping or tent/cabin, but requires up to 18 hours total during the five days
