Full Work Scholarships and Half Work Scholarships

Full Scholarship

There are a very limited number of full scholarships for people with some kitchen experience.

Full scholarshipmeans you work a total of up to 24 hours during the five days (4 hours on Wed. & 5 hours a day Thur-Sun).  This best suits people who are strong and efficient workers, have kitchen experience, and enjoy collaborating in a serious restaurant kitchen atmosphere working closely with a reputable, professional chef.  You ideally have some kitchen experience to assist Chef in a more competent way than a person with no kitchen experience. The chef will do his/her best to get you the shift you would prefer and accommodate you so you can take the music and dance classes you want to take. You have to arrive by 4pm on Wednesday afternoon and attend the Wed. 10pm work staff meeting.  We expect you to show up to the event, be on time, and fulfill your duties. Camping or dormitory accommodations….

Half Scholarship

For Half Scholarships you must send in a check made out to “Kosmos Camp” for $270 immediately with a completed KOSMOS HS REGISTRATION FORM to reserve your spot as half scholarship spots are limited:

Workers will have to work a total of 14 hours total during the five days (2 hours on Wed. and 3 hours on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), assisting the chef, who you will work for in the kitchen.  You must check in with chef when you arrive at 4pm on Wednesday, June 10th. At the workers meeting on Wednesday evening at 10pm, the chef will put you on a shift for each day of the event.  You should have some basic kitchen skills such as chopping food, cleaning, etc.  The chef will do his/her best to accommodate your schedule so you can take the classes you want. You have to arrive by 4pm on Wednesday afternoon.  We expect you to be on time, responsible, and fulfill your duties.  If this doesn’t happen, we can take you off the job and demand full payment for the event. Your spot will not be reserved until a check is received and it’s non-refundable. Half scholarships are for dormitory or camping accommodations.
